Work shifts

You can plan, publish, view and manage work shifts under work shift management. Navigate to Work Force > Shift list.

The work shift displays a day calendar with advanced features for planning work shifts before publishing, publishing tools and much more. You can choose between overview and detailed view depending on your need and navigate on a weekly basis.

Filter employees based on their location or team tags to narrow down the list for easier planning.

You can see a weekly calendar view for each employee by clicking on the employee name. And a daily calendar by clicking on any day for any employee.

The calendar view has multiple features:

  • red line crossing the calendar vertically shows the cut-off for leveling period, if you’ve set a leveling period to help avoid extra pay costs,
  • each day column shows color coding (green=published, yellow=draft, not published, red=vacation/sick leave/not working), the number shows the length of the day (8 = 8 hours shift), the circle displays if the percentage of planned hours compared to total working hours for that day (50% circle means 4 hours planned from 8 hours of regular working hours),
  • you can add shifts just by clicking on any column, empty or not

If you are planning and have added new unpublished changes, you will also see a Publish button above the calendar. Publishing shifts notifies employees affected and they will see their calendar and schedule immediately.

Work Force allocation and work shifts #

Allocating employees with the allocation tool affects work shifts automatically, so you don’t have to manually change these in both tools.
